Riversleigh Manor House

Posted by Heather Blakey on March 20th, 2007

Riversleigh Manor is a rambling old manor house. This house was once the house of Lord and Lady Riversleigh and after the death of Lord Riversleigh was inherited by Lady Sibyl Riversleigh, the youngest daughter of the Riversleigh’s. It is the first port of call for pilgrims who step through Enchanteur’s magic portal.

Paths lead, from Riversleigh through the Murmuring Woods to the, Gyspy Camp the The Hermitage and the Lemurian Abbey. Riversleigh Manor is the base home of those who have decided to come and discover the magic of Lemuria.

Artists and writers are taking up rooms at Riversleigh and working and travelling with Sibyl Riversleigh. Residency is restricted to 50 active residents. Contact heatherblakey at dailywriting.net for more information.

Planting Seeds in the Garden House

One of the first things residents did, when they had settled, was to slip down to the Garden House near the barn and took up le Enchanteur’s offer to plant dream seeds. A collection of seed packets are currently on show in the Riversleigh Gallery.

The Dandelion is an unremarkable weed with one of the most beautiful seeds that I know. I remember the thrill of watching a little child holding the ‘clock’ in their hand, blowing and watching the seeds go flying off into the air.

My seed packet carries some seeds such as the dandelion seed. My wish is that they fly off where they need to go, (wherever the wind shall blo’) embedding themselves firmly in my pysche, giving growth to the untapped gifts within.

I shall water them with love and care for myself, and the manure……dedication and enthusiasm for the journey to The Magic Faraway Tree and my other creative pursuits. I have never liked New Year Resolutions or been dedicated to thinking about them.

However, I love this idea of planting seeds. Thanks to L’Enchanteur, her inspiration continues to energize me.
