Daily Writing Dot Net

The domain names www.dailywriting.net and www.outbackonline.net belong to Heather Blakey and they house the Soul Food Cafe and the creative stimuli that the site provides. You will find special projects, serene sanctuaries and work that has been published over an eight year period.
The Soul Food Cafè is a portal for artists and writers alike. It is a safe haven where creativity flourishes. Soul Food Cafè aims to promote creative pursuits as a daily practice. The site is quite literally overflowing with healthy and tasty morsels for every artist. It’s full of tips, techniques, references and encouragement. To help patrons effectively immerse themselves in Soul Food’s creative stimuli Heather created an ABC of Activities and a Box of Wonderment.
Heather provides Front Door space for committed patrons who are seeking to be profiled and who want to benefit from the traffic that comes through this popular site. One of Heather’s objectives is to provide a real audience for her patrons and so she happily promotes the work of artists and writers from around the world.
Because Soul Food is owned and run solely by Heather Blakey, an individual cannot alter their front door or make any changes to the material housed at either of the above domains. The idea of the door is to simply provide a portal to the world of another artist or writer.
In the early days Heather provided this service free of charge but now she asks for some reciprocal return. There are so many ways for a doorkeeper to be proactive and help keep Soul Food afloat. A door keeper may act as a moderator, run a service that promotes and enhances Soul Food, voluntarily edit material or give a monetary donation. They can also support the site by buying from Soul Food’s Cafe Press store, Soul Food Hermitage, that is operated by Monika Roleff.

Dear Heather -
I inadvertently discovered your Web site tonight. Hello from Upstate New York, near Canada.
I’m a writer who is valiantly working at birthing my first book - a memoir and would love to take part in the daily writing exerises - is this how I sign up?
Your site is stimulating and wondrous. Have just browsed a bit. I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved husband. My heart is with you.
- Best Wishes and Profound Thanks for creating such a wonderful place for artists to congregate!
- Stacey Morris
Dear Heather,
I can’t tell how thankful I am for having found Soul Food Cafe. Your generosity in having created this place for artists is boundless! It’s obvious that you have put a lot of time and love into it.
I’ve been experiencing terrible writer’s block, but I feel the muse returning to me already as I browse through this site.
Please accept my condolences at the loss of your husband. I hope that words have in some way comforted you on your journey.
Thank you so much, and God bless.
- Andrea
Is this a site just for female writers and artists? I’ve browsed a bit, having come across it ‘by chance’ as I’ve been interested in the ‘real’ Lemuria for years, but as a budding writer I think it’s an absolutely wonderful concept, so many congratulations Heather (even if you won’t let me in!) Love and warmest wishes from a rather cold Northern Isle in Scotland (PS This one is real - well, I think so anyway - I’ve been here about six years and the natives seem very friendly, and are also very active writers and artists!)
